Wild East Productions will be releasing a widescreen double feature disc of GOLIATH AND THE BARBARIANS and GOLIATH AND THE VAMPIRES! No street date has been set yet, but you can check out the cool...

Wild East has pretty darned fast service..I ordered it on Tuesday, and it was in my mailbox on Friday! Checked out GOLIATH AND THE VAMPIRES and really loved it. Pretty violent and there's some very...

There's a scene missing from GOLIATH AND THE VAMPIRES that was more than likely snipped by A.I.P. for the U.S. release. Early in the film, Goliath dives into the ocean to rescue a drowning rugrat....

I thought something was missing there too, Rapfred. There seemed to have been a big deal made out of the fact that Goliath had that axe with him when he jumped into the sea! Funny (not to give...

The sea serpent or what ever it is has always bothered me, even when I saw it as a kid!

What we do see of the sea serpent is a spiny, flaccid prop that didn't seem to have any moving parts. GOLIATH AND THE BARBARIANS looks tremendous, almost like new. Very nice color.

Finally gotten around to checking this disc out myself, very nice (hardly Home Theatre quality, but when most Pepla are only available in Alpha fullscreen formats, widescreen is a revelation). My...

I really am glad to have GOLIATH AND THE VAMPIRES finally! This was a big favorite as a kid and I think it has really held up well. The dvd is watchable, but I did notice a few time when the tops of...

Is this double feature a DVD or DVD-R? I've got a letterboxed DVD-R of GOLIATH AND THE VAMPIRES that looks pretty good and includes the trailer, but I'd upgrade if this is a real DVD.

Hey Bob! I checked amazon and it appears to be a legit double-feature DVD of Barbarians/Vampires by some outfit called Wild East Productions that Carl2000 mentioned a couple of years ago. Goes for...

Thanks, Reed! Sounds like it's worth upgrading. I think this is the same company that puts out a DVD of spaghetti western trailers called A FISTFUL OF TRAILERS, so I may add that to the order as...

Hey guys!Just a (minor) warning...while Wild East uses pressed discs, I still question the legitimacy of their releases. At the very least, it's rare (if ever) that they utilize re-mastered, original...

Given some of their other films along this line, I'm kind of surprised we didn't see GOLIATH AND THE VAMPIRES get a DVD from Image (either via their Something Weird or RetroMedia imprints).
View ArticleRe: Goliath Double Feature DVD!
Hey Bijoubob!Yeah...Quality-wise, they probably trump Retro-media, and are at least equal to SWV. In terms of picking it up,I would say "go for it" (as long as you know in advance that you're not...

I was very happy with this. It is a pressed DVD. Non anamorphic but where are you going to get these otherwise? For two decent peplums, it is well worth it.

Just watched Goliath and the Vampires.... but I have a question: in the original version, was the monster a vampire, or something else?
